Does anyone know Mevalone?

Hiya

I have a vineyard in Provence and am concerned about the new laws reducing the use copper-based fungicides, given our mildew pressure (yes, even in sunny Provence).

I read an article recently (see attached) about a new biofungicide based on plant-derived active ingredients called Mevalone.

https://www.euronews.com/2026/01/26/can-a-sustainable-fungicide-save-frances-vineyards-from-climate-driven-disease

Does anyone have any experience with Mevalone, any comments, or other organic solutions you’re working with?

Thanks

Stephen

I know that there have been trials in Spain, Portugal, Italy, South of France, Germany, California, Oregon and elsewhere, so hopefully someone on here will have some experience!

In France, the product is sold under the brands Yatto and Nirka. Originally designed to combat botrytis, it is now positioned as a broad-spectrum solution against fungal diseases.
